There is a new software version 4.0.3 available.
Improvements:
- updated menue structure
- added weld activation sound
- added a sound in auto pulse mode when both welding tips touch the nickel
- sound can be switched on and off in the menue
It is available on my Github: Arduino Spot Welder 4.0.3 Software
Update Procedure
To upload the software to the Arduino Nano you can use the Software Installation Tutorial for V4.0.3.
When you update from an older V4 sofware you need to perform a full reset of the welder through the system menu after the update. Otherwise the welder will not work properly.
The improved menu

In the main menue the “Auto Pulse” item has been replaced with the new “Pulse Set” item. In this submenu on the item “Mode” you can switch the weld pulse activation between “Auto Pulse” and “Manual” as before and in the item “Delay” set the delay time for the pulse activation as before.
New function is the “Sound” item. Here you can turn the weld sound on and off. When the sound is “On” the welder will trigger a beep when the weld pulse is activated. If the weld mode is set to “Auto Pulse” it will also trigger a beep as soon as both welding tips touch the nickel strip.
I update arduino nano V4 on board V3.2. When I switch on the hiar sound but when welding sound isnt hiar. On a second board every thing work perfectly. Can you help me with this? Thank you
Since you get a sound during the start of the welder it is most likely a software problem.
The sound for welding can be switched on or off in the welders menue. Maybe it is switched off on your first unit.
